Three ideas for a new blog

Recently, I have been thinking about other blogs I could start. The idea is that more blogs (with regularly updated, quality content) = more money. The catch, of course, is that you cannot possibly keep up good, quality posts on a blog that you are not interested in. After a couple of posts, you will lose momentum and the blog will become stagnant.
So what should you blog about? Here are three broad ideas that may help:
- Hobbies. Hobbies are great things to blog about because you already have an interest in the topic and you probably have some knowledge on the hobby that the average person does not.
- Academics. Are you taking a course right now? If you are, and you have a good understanding of the subject, you likely have a lot to blog about. Because you are going to the class on a specific schedule, you will be getting new information on the subject on a regular basis. Remember that you cannot just copy an instructor’s lectures/notes – those are his works and he has copyrights to them.
- Work. If you are employed, you probably know a thing or two about your profession and chances are you go to work up to five days a week. Now don’t tell me you never learn anything while at work. Tell the world what is going on in the stock market, how to change a Mercedes Benz’s oil, or why this winter is going to be bad for your lemon trees.
These ideas are pretty broad, but hopefully they give you an idea or two for a new blog on a topic you are interested in so you can keep posts regular and informative.
