Please avoid Bidvertiser

Posted on February 11th, 2007 in Pay Per Click, RevenuePilot, Scams | 8 Comments »

If you are looking for an alternative to Google Adsense or YPN! (Yahoo Publisher Network), I advise you to steer clear of Bidvertiser.

There are many people, including myself, who have tried out Bidvertiser and ultimately left.

The problem with Bidvertiser is that they do not count all of your clicks. Some people have said that none of their clicks were being reported in their stats. Their ads are just a waste of your site’s space.

I highly recommend that you go with either Adsense or YPN! If you are still looking for another network — whether it is because you weren’t accepted or you were kicked out — try looking at RevenuePilot (aff). I have had some success with them. A nice thing about RevenuePilot is that you can display the ads alongside Adsense and YPN! ads. They also have an affiliate program that allows you to collect 10% of your referral’s revenue.

When will we get the Agloco Viewbar?

Posted on February 9th, 2007 in Affiliates | 1 Comment »

I am sure you have all heard about the Agloco (aff) by now. It is one of my suggested affiliates over on the right column. If you are one of the few that have not heard about Agloco, let me get you up to speed.

Agloco is a new advertising company that will be paying its users based on the number of hours you surf the web. To put it simply, Agloco will pay you to do what you are doing right now.

So how can they do this? Each user will have to download their Viewbar (Which they describe as, “a small toolbar that rests on the bottom of your screen or browser window while you surf the Internet.”). The Viewbar will have ads on it, and that is where the revenue comes from. You can get paid up to 5 hours a week for this.

Perhaps Agloco’s greatest feature, and its claim to fame, is that it is an affiliate program. Each person that signs up through your referral will contribute to the revenue you earn. Your earning potential is endless.

Lets say you can refer 5 people, and each of those 5 refer 1 person. Now if everyone spends 5 hours a month surfing the web, you will be getting 36.25 hours worth of revenue. (Agloco has not stated how much you will be paid per hour yet)

It all sounds perfect, right?

Well not quite. I am getting a little bugged by the company. My problem with Agloco is that the Viewbar is still unavailable for download, and they have not said when it will be available. As of December, their website said, “We expect that it will start to be available to download in several weeks.” As of today, their website says, “We expect that it will start to be available to download in several weeks.” Annoying indeed.
Until the Viewbar has been released, you can still get referrals and grow your network. My problem with this is that I do not want to start promoting a product I have never actually used before. I would be much more successful in trying to get referrals if I could actually vouch for Agloco’s earning potential.

All I want to know from Agloco is when will the Viewbar be available?

When I find out, I will let you know.
