It really has been a long time… it is now nearing the end of September and I am finally posting my July Affiliate Income Report. I guess a lot of things have happened since then… Summer is over, school has started, I took a 10 day trip to Mammoth Lakes for some high-altitude training, and cross country season has started. While all these things have taken lots of my time, surely they can’t get in the way of making money… but Facebook can!
At the end of July, I got the big fat Facebook slap. Things were going so well and I was paying Facebook lots of money. I guess they wanted to uphold some sort of “integrity” and as a result all of my ads that were making me money were deleted. As my favorite fictional character would say, “Tough titty says the kitty.”
Anyway, here is how July ended up. I brought in $4,972.93, mostly with one campaign with Hydra. On Facebook, I spent $2,852.74 for a total of $2,120.19 and a ROI of 74.3%. Lower numbers than June, but definitely satisfactory.
The way my schedule is, I won’t be making new goals for next month. I’ll let you guys know if things start to pick up though.

After returning from my trip to Italy, I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. I am finally ready to go through my income report for the month of June.
Once again, last month saw new records: total revenue of $6047.35, total advertising cost of $3061.24, and a profit of $2986.11. My ROI was a solid 97.5%.
All of the goals I set for myself last month were met. I broke $1k/week and was well over 60% ROI. I am a little bummed that I just missed the $100/day mark. In the beginning of the month, I set several records (First $200 profit day and $500 in Revenue) and I thought for sure I would break $100/day. When I went to Italy I lowered my budget to ~$60 and I paused some campaigns completely while I was gone.
Next month I will be happy if I can break the $3000 mark. If I could keep this up, that would be an annual income of $36k. That is above the average income per household member in the United States of $26,036 (Household income in the United States, Wikipedia). Since I live at home during the summer and my parents pay for my college expenses (thanks Mom and Dad) I will be able to bank most of this. It looks like I am well on my way to reaching another one of my goals for 2008: $15,000 in the bank.
Once again, Hydra was by far my #1 network for the month. NeverBlueAds is still doing well for me, as well. If you are looking for some new networks to check out, I suggest both of those. Send me an e-mail or comment on this post and I’ll see if I can hook you up with my sweet affiliate managers.

I have finally returned home from my two week trip to Italy. It was a great trip, but it is good to be home.
I left LAX on Friday the 13th around 10:30 am I think it was and got to Rome at 4 pm on Saturday. That was two flights: one from Los Angeles to Frankfurt, Germany (11 hours) and the other from Frankfurt to Rome (about 1.5 hours).
The next day the sight seeing began. We started with St. Paul’s church (aka St. Paul’s outside the walls) which was beautiful. We then went to the Catacombs where they buried Christians while they were being persecuted by the Romans.
After a short tour of the Catacombs, we went to the Roman Forum. This was probably the highlight of the trip. We saw the Emperor’s palace, the Colosseum, Circus Maximus, and the rest.

Next up was the Vatican City, the smallest sovereign-state in the world. As it expected, everything in the Vatican was beautiful. St. Peter’s was larger than life and the Sistine Chapel was incredible. It is amazing how wealthy the Catholic church is. There is gold all over the place and tons and tons of marble on all the walls.
Unfortunately cameras were not allowed inside the Sistine Chapel so I don’t have any pictures of Michaelangelo’s work of art.

That was the end of the first day of sight seeing in Rome. Next up is the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Pisa.

Hey everyone. I am writing this e-mail from a hotel lobby in Florence. It costs 5€ for 30 minutes which is a lot better than 0.35€ per minute at the last hotel in Rome.
Italy is great so far. I have been taking lots of pictures and eating great food. I will have lots to tell you all about when I return home.
Ciao!

Last night was UCLA’s final Undie Run of the 2007-2008 school year. Thousands of students congregate on UCLA’s campus to run about half a mile in nothing but underwear. Some people decide to step it up and wear a little less. You always see a few guys just wearing a tube sock or girls wearing see-through shirts. The Undie Run has become probably one of the biggest collegiate traditions in the nation. In fact, many other schools are trying to start their own. But none live up to the original UCLA Undie Run. It really is a blast and I suggest everyone does it at least once.
