A few weeks ago I wrote a post about how RevenuePilot works. I did this because of some stats I saw in my 103Bees report. Since then, I have seen an increase in organic hits coming from Google. More importantly, I now have three times as many affiliates signed up. I will have to try this with other affiliate programs to see if I have the same success.

RevenuePilot Success!
Tuesday, March 20th, 2007How does RevenuePilot work?
Saturday, February 24th, 2007RevenuePilot (aff) is a price per click (PPC) solution for advertisers and publishers. Advertisers bid on keywords that they want their advertisement to show up for. Then a publisher chooses keywords that fit his site and places the ad code on it. When a visitor visits the site, the advertisers ad shows up and, if the visitor clicks it, the publisher is paid 60% of what the advertiser paid for that keyword.
RevenuePilot is similar to Adsense and Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) in that it is an easy way to monetize your site with advertisements. It does, however, have a few important differences.
The first important difference is that publishers choose which keywords will show up on their site. Adsense and YPN both search your content and then choose which advertisements best fit your content. The nice thing about picking your own keywords is that you do not have to worry about irrelevant ads every coming up.
RevenuePilot also has an affiliate program where you can earn 10% of a referral’s revenue for life. This is a great option for those of you that know how to really drive affiliate programs. You can read more about that here.
Note: While checking out my stats over at 103Bees, I noticed that the top question bringing hits to my site was “how revenuepilot works.” The idea is that this post will give those searchers exactly what they are looking for.
Please avoid Bidvertiser
Sunday, February 11th, 2007If you are looking for an alternative to Google Adsense or YPN! (Yahoo Publisher Network), I advise you to steer clear of Bidvertiser.
There are many people, including myself, who have tried out Bidvertiser and ultimately left.
The problem with Bidvertiser is that they do not count all of your clicks. Some people have said that none of their clicks were being reported in their stats. Their ads are just a waste of your site’s space.
I highly recommend that you go with either Adsense or YPN! If you are still looking for another network — whether it is because you weren’t accepted or you were kicked out — try looking at RevenuePilot (aff). I have had some success with them. A nice thing about RevenuePilot is that you can display the ads alongside Adsense and YPN! ads. They also have an affiliate program that allows you to collect 10% of your referral’s revenue.
Generating revenue with RevenuePilot
Thursday, December 21st, 2006
Now that I have several posts on my two blogs at Blogger.com, Calculus and Physics and Student-Athletes, I have decided to monetize the sites with advertisements. I have decided to use a program called RevenuePilot. I chose RevenuePilot for two reasons.
- RevenuePilot allows you to target your ads. With ad targeting, you can pick keywords that will pay you better. Because these ads are not contextual, you can place them on the same pages as your Adsense or Yahoo! Publisher Network (YPN) ads.
- You can refer people and earn 10% of their revenue. I explain this in a little more detail in my article Earn 10% of your referrals’ revenue with RevenuePilot.
Step 1 Setting up an account with RevenuePilot
Go to the RevenuePilot website a sign up as a publisher. It is very simple and should not take more than a few minutes.
Step 2 Choosing keywords
You can now go to “Check Prices” on the left side of the members’ page. Here you can type in relevant keywords and see how much you will make per click. Try to pick kewords that are relevant to your site so your CTR (click through rate) is high.
Step 3 Placing advertisements on your blogger
First, click “Get Codes” and then choose JavaScript Include from the RevenuePilot members page. Fill out the form and then copy the code that it gives you.
Now go to your Blogger.com Dashboard and edit your blog’s template. Add a HTML/JavaScript element to your page and place the code from RevenuePilot in the box. Click save and then you are done.
Now we just have to keep adding content to the blogs and try to increase visitors. The clicks should follow.
