Please avoid Bidvertiser

Sunday, February 11th, 2007

If you are looking for an alternative to Google Adsense or YPN! (Yahoo Publisher Network), I advise you to steer clear of Bidvertiser.

There are many people, including myself, who have tried out Bidvertiser and ultimately left.

The problem with Bidvertiser is that they do not count all of your clicks. Some people have said that none of their clicks were being reported in their stats. Their ads are just a waste of your site’s space.

I highly recommend that you go with either Adsense or YPN! If you are still looking for another network — whether it is because you weren’t accepted or you were kicked out — try looking at RevenuePilot (aff). I have had some success with them. A nice thing about RevenuePilot is that you can display the ads alongside Adsense and YPN! ads. They also have an affiliate program that allows you to collect 10% of your referral’s revenue.

My affiliate program pledge

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

After reading several different blogs and forum posts, I am convinced of the revenue potential from affiliate marketing. If you are interested in getting paid for doing very little work, affiliates are the secret. With the right affiliate program, and the right referrals, you can get paid from all of their work. Sounds perfect, right?

Well not quite. All affiliate programs are not created equal. While each of them offer some sort of incentive to refer users, some are not worth the trouble.

Recently, I have been looking into several different affiliate programs — hoping to find a gem. I have found a few that I think are very promising, Agloco, Performancing, and RevenuePilot (I plan to further discuss each of these programs’ pro’s and con’s in the future). I have also found a couple that are a waste of time and are much more hassle than they are worth.

With that said, I would like to make a pledge to you, the readers of RevenueQuest. I will not promote an affiliate program that I do not feel is fair and legitimate. All programs you see promoted here will be ones that I believe are worth a look at.
